Movies based on video games often fail miserably, however the upcoming horror movie “Silent Hill” does look promising. The movie will be directed by Christophe Gans who's best known for Brotherhood of the Wolf.
The movie will have a story of its own, but borrows many ideas from the games. It’s about a young mother called Rose, played by Radha Mitchell, who's daughter is dying from a mysterious illness. Rose believes that her daughter's condition is linked to the doomed resort of Silent Hill and so takes her there in the hope of finding a cure. Check out the stills below,       Add Comment  1 -

It reduces the price, and it also makes the competetors work harder to make a better product. If it werent for MS, I think the PS3 wouldnt be as good as its going to be, same goes for 360. Doom was pretty fun, mediocre but good for the fans. Hopefully this one will also not disapoint. The only Pc game developer I like is Valve they took their time when they made Half Life 2 they got rid of all the bugs, and made the game function at 100%, never rush any games it doesn't matter if the graphics aren't the best. During a talk on multithreaded programming, Microsoft used the three core, two thread per core Xbox360 as an example. The bombshell was that the first generation of Xbox titles, all of them, are single threaded. Not good. The INQ has gotten its hands on an Xbox360, yes, there is a Wal-Mart near us, and was completely underwhelmed by the quality of the games. Graphics quality was poor, and pixels were showing up blocky, ruining the wow-factor of the new console. Every new machine has a nasty first set of games as the programmers work up to speed on the hardware. In this case, the up side is that there is about 6x the CPU power available and coming to a console near you in the second generation of games. The scary part is that everyone tells me that the PS3 is harder to program for than the Xbox360, and the tools are nowhere near the quality of Microsoft's. seen this b4Unregistered - me 11.13.2005 20:17 hold on a second... not that im an playstation fanboy (i own a Ps1, n64, Dc, xbox) but didnt the Dreamcast come out a few months before playstation 2? and didnt the dreamcast have online play? (plus added features like downloading save states to ur VMU over the net) ... and, isnt there a microsoft CE logo on my dusty old DC?? i think there is :( lol, Dc had all that and still died, horribly. 84 -
