A picture that is from Ken's keynote speech last week shows an example of how the PS3’s interface could look like. It looks similar to the PSP interface, only with a lot more features. At the moment we don’t have much info to go along with this picture, but all that stuff in the background is obviously some of the stuff Ken has been talking about earlier regarding the CELL’s ability to handle multiple tasks. If you don;t like playing the same game over and over and/or have no life and can devote 40+ hours a week to an MMO, consoles are the way to go. Once I can easily surf the web and whatnot on my console it'll be bye=bye PC. Console games offer a much more original and varied experience, nuff said. 10 -

"Most assuredly PC gaming will never die, especially when the consoles are just like stockcar PC’s. My PC is very close to the specs of the PS3. The differences are small such as: I have one gig of RAM (though in a week will have 2 gigs of PC 4400) the PS3 has 256, though the new architecture is nice, it still isn’t that much, especially for the little things like bodies and shell casings on the ground. Also the CPU clocks faster than mine and the CELL CPU is a nice piece of technology for size and price, but the AMD FX-55 even at 2.6 GHz still owns it with its 1.5 MB cache, which is the thing that counts the most in games; though it doesn’t own it by much. Sony did their research right this time around. I especially like the broadcasting aspect of it. We're gonna be able to do so many things with this system and also things that incorporated the PSP as well. From what I can see it is a cool concept (it seems like browsing the web, looking at TV, video conference and games at the same time). I know that both MS and Sony are aiming at a more complete media device but like someone stated it is a gaming machine we don't necessairly need all thoses features. Plus I doubt you could play MSG4 and run all thoses thing at the same time... but then again I could be wrong. I will just way and see what will be the final product. 22 -

Basicly a PC with keyboard, mouse etc. It would have been great if instead of a mouse it could have the Revolution controller. Great set of speakers + HDTV, and you have all the entertainment centre stuff in one place. Process more than one "set" of audio to different sets of speakers and think about it - play your music in the one room, while the one screen is playing a TV program, and you have a earphone set playing a game on the other screen. Possible. Really just wished it had the Revo controller. Don't see much space for the XBox in the scenario. For the home media centre, the PS3 will play back the latest and greatest video stuff from the Blu-Ray. 360 and Revo won't. So must have a PS3. Great controller idea on the Revo - so that will be second - for the novelty experience of it. 360 just dont seem to have the "must-have" killer app. Online stuff? If the PS3 comes with a Internet browser, and the games publishers set up games servers - then what really does XBox Live give me? Just lock in to see the world through MS eyes i.to. news etc? Just don't get it where the 360's lasting appeal will be. Blu Ray, dual HDTV and the Revo controller. That is the must-haves for the next gen. 23 -

You can just feel how jealous the xbox fans get when good news comes in favor of Sony, and how excited they get when it’s negative news. LOL. You guys are so pathetic. You obviously don’t see how much better this interface is going to be compared to Microsoft. Think about it you could pull up a walk through for a game on the internet, or some cheats (what ever you want) and refer to it as you're playing your game. At the same time you could be conferencing with your friends on another screen. There is so much more interaction with this interface than there is with Microsoft. I specially like how you could basically broadcast your own live daily show about anything you want (games, anything). Other people will then be able to download those podcasts onto their PSP's to watch them when ever they feel like it. Not only that but you can access the PS3 from the PSP to do this even when your not at home. People don't be so ignorant, this is the future of the Digital Era. There will be so much interaction that you won't know where to begin. People are gonna be hooked on how versatile the PS3 is going to be. Finally, in my opinion it's a hell of allot better than just being able to see how many kills you and you buddy have in a game, and being able to sell your junk through xbox live. PS3 will be the most advanced system in every way "I guarantee it" (like George Forman used to say on the Midas commercials remember xbots. So it's true the "GrillStation 3" is going to "Grill" the hell out of the 360 in the long run. I give this thing 2 years tops to take off like a bat outta hell. Enjoy Xbox fans. I don't know if this is just because we all would love more info as soon as possible, or if that's really a good idea for Sony. Think about it, MS will actually have a massive attention with the release. So no matter what Sony releases they will still sell a lot of consoles. The xbox fans will buy it no matter what Sony releases. And as we know MS probably will have trouble delivering enough machines. The right time for Sony to release info is a month or two after the release when the dust has settled on the part for MS. I myself would not expect killzone to come out exactly like the trailer because if it do, it would be the best game ever. I don't even think about killzone it's just a game that everyone will watch out for, The MGS4 trailer was more impressive. Killzone and MGS4 is a hurdle sony has made for themselves to try to meet by that time. I don't know when killzone is planned but if it is at ps3 launch than they won't meet that standard. They'll be slightly under and you'll say well it's close enough. MGS4 is what 2007 or something. You've got to be kidding me when you say that those graphics are what to expect. But from what I have been reading it seems that Msoft does have some sort of solution to the compression issue. My only problem with Blu-Ray is that its going to be more expensive. I've heard at least $10 more expensive for movies and games. The key words being "at least" meaning only a $10 dollar price hike is best case scenario. If it turns out that Blu-Ray movies aren't more expensive(a psp umd movie is $29.99 on average so it ain't lookin good) then my issues with Blu-ray will be gone. But I'd rather pay $19.99 for Batman Begins: Deluxe Edition, definitely not $29.99. SRP for most dvd's are 29.99 but they rarely releast at that price. Normally 15.99-19.99 is the sweet spot, hopefully Blu-Ray doesn't mean $25.99-$29.99. This would really suck for us anime fans as most anime release at 29.99 on DVD. $39.99 for 4 episodes of Inu Yasha? I think not!! But its still all speculation. for now 131 -
