A while back Hideo Kojima, the legendary game designer behind the Metal Gear Solid series started his own blog. Unfortunately it was in Japanese, but he must have received tons of emails from his fans in the west requesting an English translation. If that was the reason I don’t know, but Kojima's first blog entries have now been translated to English. Hopefully the rest if his blog will get translate as well as it is a very interesting read, highly recommended!

While Kojima's military training initially appears quite extravagant, it will be beneficial to the overall feel of Metal Gear Solid 4, what with the reported 'hundreds of customisable options' with the weapons. The most interesting aspect of Hideo's recent interviews, for myself, have been his comments on psychological warfare. The training the team are undergoing should give an insight into the reactions of soldiers in genuine battles. Hideo's 'research' probably looks like a field day from a Polyphony Digital perspective, considering the laborious/obsessive nature of their researching. 6 -

Cell has double the floating point power,i know it's theoretical but it looks more than "very small" to me. Cell will be connected to xdr dram@3.2 GHz. this shows how stronger it is compared to Xenon. but as i said,i agree that power shouldn't be the basis for purchase decisions, the games matter the most! 8 -

I agree with #9Unregistered - unregistered 10.25.2005 20:16 This is a little off the subject but, I'd have to say that all that bull crap that was made about the PS3 losing developers is nothing more than a hoax provided by either an entity within the media itself or by Microsoft.Sony has put in a lot of work into the PS3 and I know they'd make this platform easier to work with.Don't put your faith in rumors.Seeing the MGS4 trailer was mesmerizing!It was incredible in every sense.I'd buy the PS3 for MGS4, DMC4, Killzone 2, Amored Core 4, I-8, and etc.A great line up is being developed and I know the PS3 will succeed.Long live Hideo Kojima! 12 -

He is just being considerate by giving the fans a chance to sort of feel what it is like to make games and go to special gaming events. Besides being technically superior in almost every way the PS3 also has a far larger customer base than does the 360 and only a moron would argue that. Also, if you realy take a good look at 360 game and Xbox games, you'll see that the 360 is not really nexgen, but instead an Xbox 1.5 of sorts. As of this weekend I have gotten a refund on my 360 preorder and am patiently waiting for PS3 preorders to start. I'm strongly advising you, the Xbox 360 is not what you think it will be. Cancel your orders if possible. 20 -
