The November issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly (#197) is reporting that Sony may be waiting until “right before the Xbox 360 goes on sale this November” to “unveil its online plans.Sony has apparently already confirmed a comparable service back at E3, but further details have been hard to come by. If true, the announcement may come later than next week’s PS3 entertainment festival, but it would certainly be used as another means to divert attention from the 360 in many parts of the world. Sony’s been dragging its feet for a while now with an excuse that it wants a unified online service to cover not only the PS3, but the PSP (and possibly PS2) as well. We’ll have to wait and see whether Sony pulls out its own Gamertags and Live-like Blades in any new service, however. Add Comment  1 -

MS has shown what they got, and I just not impressed. Thats my opinion, its not a fact, just my opinion. My opinion also is, that by the looks of it, Sony has a better system, and their games seems to be better looking. They proved some of the footage was real-time. Thats enough for me to wait for the PS3, also BLU-Ray, disc SPACE DOES matter, they can fit a lot more content on the game if there is much more space. Perhaps Sony is continually building up their products so when they are announced they will be far better then we previously expected? Perhaps because Sony is waiting for the right time to disclose all the information gamers want known? Or maybe, just maybe, we are still a good 7 months from the Japanese launch of the PS3 and Sony knows they have plenty of time to disclose all the information future PS3 owners will ever need to know. From what I recall we knew almost nothing about the Xbox360 until only 6 months before the systems launch. When Sony disclosed all those juicy details about the PS3, Cell and RSX back at E3 we were still 9-10 months away from the systems release. Sony are the kings of making their competition sweat. And they are just waiting for the right moments to disclose the information that will get the hype building even stronger then it already is. Theres really no reason for Sony to say anything right at this second, but I'll bet you a couple thousands bucks right here and now Sony releases some very juicy pieces of information before the Xbox360 launch. 36 -

Yes I am a Dreamcast fan but I can honestly say that Sony is the only manufacturer who I have owned every generation of their consoles so far. I assume that makes me a retard in your highly subjective world of brand loyalty as no true Sony follower would have ever owned an other video game system never mind all three of the current generation of consoles. If you had owned or played on a Dreamcast you would know that the legacy of that console was that in just over 18 months they pretty much defined the whole current generation of gaming. It introduced new gameplay concepts and ways of playing and most crucially of all it got many of them right first time. Ever heard the saying "the light that burns twice as bright burns half as long". That sums up the life of the dreamcast. If any of the next generation of consoles was to offer the same level of innovation and quality as those Dreamcast titles I would consider myself lucky to have played them rather than shouting them down just because the box that they play on has the wrong brand name on it for me. From where I sit we are all video gamers no matter what console you play on. We have more in common with each other than we have differences. You on the other hand I have nothing in common with. Sony hasn't announced internet service specifics, but since it's coming out after xbox 360 I am sure they'll look at it and compare and at least make theirs as good. Gt4 is more realistic in every way except collision damage which forza wasn't so hot with either, wow we added another texture to make it look like someone s*it on the car even though I hit a wall. I'll be too busy playing Battlefield 2 on my cpu to give a shiz about 360 and their crappy generic FPS's, how bout you give me a real argument so we can put this forum to use. Go play your shizy versions of Fable, Halo, Far Cry, Doom 3 while I'll play them on my cpu at a resoloution that xbox can't even half, hmm I wonder why half life 2 never made it to xbox, maybe because it cant handle all those shaders and advanced code or because valve is smart and dont' want there game to look like shiz as direct opposite to ID who obviously dont' care if there game looks bad (Doom 3) because they know xbox fans will eat it up because it has "guns and action" "Now I Feel American" (insert George W.B. accent). Wow poop, that's a mature word... Now go play halo, If I wanted to play a mindless fps I'd play Unreal tourn 2004, not halo 2 it at least has the attitude to justify the mindless shooting. You know what's funny? They did an official polygon count, there are more polygons in Snakes HAIR(MGS 4 obviously) then in the averege full model character of MGS3 and the top polygon count model of a racing car in a 360 game.
