SEGA Europe Ltd. and SEGA of America, Inc. today are proud to announce SEGA Rally (known as SEGA Rally Revo in the US). Originally released in 1995, 'Sega Rally Championship' helped to create the Rally genre and was quickly heralded as the pinnacle of arcade racer's. Staying true to the series, SEGA Rally will be the first title developed by the newly formed SEGA Driving Studio and will be racing onto the Sony PlayStation 3 , the Xbox 360 and PC in 2007. Set to redefine the rally genre with vibrant next generation graphics, intuitive controls, competitive bumper-to-bumper racing and fully reactive environments. SEGA Rally will once again be leading the rest of the pack with a wonderfully vivacious and realistic graphical world that is every gamers driving fantasy. “The rally genre has become the domain of ultra realistic simulation based titles that portray the sport in minute detail but offer little in terms of fun,” commented Guy Wilday, Studio Director, SEGA Driving Studio . “With the emphasis being on entertainment, SEGA Rally will focus on delivering an adrenaline fuelled competitive racing experience but without over-complicating the rally experience.” SEGA Rally will encourage players to put the pedal to the metal and enjoy thrilling head-to-head racing. Skilled driving will go hand-in-hand with pure luck as you hurtle around looping tracks in a wide selection of 4WD, 2WD & Classic vehicles that react quite differently depending upon the racing surface. SEGA Rally offers a vast variety of fully deformable environments and surfaces, from littered gravel tracks, all weather tarmac roads, to snow driven trails - no two laps let alone a race will ever be the same! Player’s rallying skills will be tested to the limit as aside from the sleek motors on offer, Sega Rally also offers players an advanced AI that takes into account the racing surface to adapt their driving style to suit. Single player and multiplayer split screen, along with online capabilities will offer race fans an unbelievably competitive and first class driving experience. Sega Rally pushes your driving skills to the limit and will be racing across Europe in 2007 on the Sony PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC!

Unregistered - Khalil 04.28.2006 05:37 It's good to see this game comes back for next-gen consoles..But we will see if it stands a chance against the best rally game WRC rally evolved..or Colin Mcrae rally.or even gran turismo.. Unregistered - Jason13 04.28.2006 06:07 You can,t compare rally against GT because rally is different, just compare rally against rally, but GT3 and GT4 is the best racer ive ever played and the best thing i like is the pitstop it just come alive when the pit crew change the tyres on your car and you have another 2o lap to go. Now GT5 will be mindblowing thats for sure. but this game don,t stand a chance against GT5 - im %100 sure. Dmac 04.28.2006 07:02 #3. I totally agree with you. I own GT4 and love it. Can wait for E3 to hopefuuly get a peek at GT5. Unregistered - Gt5 04.28.2006 07:46 bTW did anyone beat the game 100%? Unregistered - Dam 04.28.2006 12:46 Now if we only had the console to play it on. WHEN SONY WHEN Unregistered - * 04.28.2006 13:10 Ummm.....November no.6 Unregistered - buckalicous 04.28.2006 13:41 I wonder if the Nintendo Wii, will have this game as well? Unregistered - Dark Slayer 04.28.2006 17:59 And I still breast feed. I just love my mom sooooo much. Unregistered - Rocker Punk Dude Yo 04.29.2006 01:56 To #8: I doubt very much that you will see this game on the Nintendo Wii. Remember that while the 360 and PS3 are very comperable in terms of power - they are both far superior in terms of power to the Wii (which developers have basically described as a supped-up Xbox 1, or as only being 2 times more powerful than a Gamecube). Thus, you will see most of the cross-platform games on the 360 and PS3 in this next-generation because of the technical limitations of the Wii. Any ways, I am glad to see this series return - especially on the Playstation (whcih has been starved of good Rally games as of late). As an owner of both the PS2 and Xbox last-gen, I can attest to the fact that the Xbox had a far superior line-up of racing games. Rallisport Racing from Microsoft is my favorite and it has always recieved higher scores than Collin McRae ...speaking of which: the most recent Collin McRae game didn't even come out on the PS2! I think that Sega Rally will be more of an arcad-e experience which should be hit or miss. Any ways, the racing game that I am most looking forward to at this year's E3 is Forza Motorsport 2 from Microsoft. This game averaged much higher scores than Grand Turismo 4 (93% to 88.4% respectively from gamerankings.com) and as a long time Grand Turismo fan I can personally attest to Forza's greatness. For now Forza is the king of racing games, so it will be interesting to see how the two series' will duke it out at this years E3 because Gran Turismo has always been a boon for Sony launching a new system in the past - however that was before there was compitition in the form of Forza. Thanks for listening :) Unregistered - nirwanda 04.29.2006 09:17 don't forget GTR that will be far more realistic than either forza or gt vision i prefered toca race driver 2 to gt4 or forza but haven't played GTR on the pc now that it's coming to the 360 i will get my chance to sample the world most realistic racing game as for sega rally i loved the saturn and the dc version and carn't wait for this it will be so much better than motorstorm it also has deformable terrain and is being overseen by the guy who made colin mccray 3 for codemasters Unregistered - 3 04.30.2006 13:31 ps3 sucks Unregistered - Webzen 04.30.2006 20:52 Better than Motorstorm have you even played it I guess not since it's not even out, I've played Evolution studios WRC rally games their good games that have had great success, I've played the Sega Rally games and it's a good game too, no hard feelings not trying to start anything. green lantern 05.02.2006 09:33 not really into rally games but i guess this is good news... id still rather go play GT5 or forza2 because of the car varieties...and gt games had rally tracks so if i wanted to play rally id play there...hopefully forza2 will have rally tracks this time...
