Xbox gamers might have to pay for Ken’s pricy PS3

That is what James Orry over at Pro-g.co.uk thinks will be the result of Ken Kutaragi’s price strategy for the PS3. With every single yen Kutaragi slaps on the PS3, Mr Gates can add a dollar to his bulging bank account.Though Microsoft may well be prepared to price the 360 at between $300 and $400 and take a hit on profits in an effort to maximise installed base before the PS3 comes out, James Orry disagrees. The price divide is a terribly important thing he says and if consumers see the 360 $100 cheaper than the PS3, they're less inclined to think bargain, and more inclined to think inferior product. Ergo, as the PS3 price rises, so must the 360.

He is saying people will think the xbox is inferior because of the price? Then why didn't they think that when PS1 came out at 299$ and the Sega Saturn with it's dual processors was out at $400? Last time I checked people looked at the games and the number of games and what was coming out (especially the Square games that where comming). Why are all these people buying Saab's and BMW's instead of the Caddy and jag? Since they cost more on average? huh? WWW DOT BIG HOLE in reasoning DOT COM.

If you are cheap, go for cheap. If You have been a fan and are satistfy, then stay a fan. I on the other hand am all about the experience of the games and having a cool system, so am going for all 3 systems like I did with the current gens. So shut up and start saving!

I quite agree, i have an order placed for the 360 and will get the PS3 when it shows up, which i reckon will be 6-12 months time
Plenty of time to save up for on i think
