We are done with the site update and some new features are now live on the site. The most important new feature is the Member’s News Tips section which will play a significant role when it comes to keeping our readers updated with the latest PS3 news. Our goal is to make PS3Today the best place on the web for PS3 related news, and we figured that the best way to succeed in this goal is to let you guys help out. The way it works is quite simple. Whenever you find a relevant news story that is not on the site already, you can share that news with our readers and other members by clicking on the submit news link on the home page. Here you must enter the url of the article, then write a suitable headline and a short description. You can also add a small image to go along with your news post. If your news post is relevant and well written, it will go live on the front page shortly after submission. This way we will be able to cover tons of news stories each day, not that there is much to cover at the moment but at least we will be ready when the PS3 circus kicks off in the near future. Dusty, Add Comment The One 11.28.2005 22:00 Now that we have a chance to submit news that the site doesn't already have, this should make things alot better for us. You guys may have alot of information on what is going on in the gaming world but you can't access all the information. This gives us a chance to post information for other viewers. Great plan. Unregistered - Amed 11.28.2005 22:09 wow this will really boast ps3today from other sites. Good work ps3today Unregistered - Vincenzo 11.28.2005 22:14 we want no ads Unregistered - Hypodrive 11.28.2005 23:37 ads are fine. Unregistered - l 11.29.2005 01:47 -- Deleted by Mod -- Vivicious 11.29.2005 09:38 Great initiative, I was really getting tired of the endless bickering here, maybe this will turn it out around. More interesting news items will def. be a result of this. Gill 11.29.2005 13:48 I appreciate the fact that this topic has not turned into a flame war (yet). With the new format, the number of news topics has increased a great deal. With this in my mind, it will become increasingly difficult to monitor the posts. As a result, I will be less forgiving of abusive and profane comments. In addition, the posts that consist of "First!" and "Yay, I'm first", are going to be deleted and the person banned. I apologize if I'm coming across like a hard case, but I want to insure that anyone who comes to this site is able to engage in mature, adult discussions, without having to suffer sifting through numerous inane posts. Vivicious 11.29.2005 15:10 *Cheers* =P But seriously, yea, good idea. I kind of expect the flaming to slow down with more news items though, flamers don't like being a nuisance when there are a smaller amount of posts per article. Their scream for attention would be cut short. ;-) Unregistered - Rompå 11.29.2005 17:31 I honestly think PS3 gonna loose the so called "nex-gen" battle! One of the reasons, they launch 1 year after Xbox 360?! Wtf? That IS JUST STUPID! But offcourse, if the Play Station leader (don't know his name and I don't care!)had been smart, he would launch now, but, this just means at this time PS3 can't deliver what Xbox 360 deliver. Now for sure I'm gonna get many Childish comments from destroyed social kids, but you grown up peoples with brain can try to discuss with me :) The One 11.29.2005 18:40 I don't really think it is a stupid move on Sony's part. They may have something in store for Microsoft. Just because they got their system out earlier doesn't mean that it will be the be the end of Sony. We can sit here all day and say what we think will happen. We can't see the future and things can take the turn for the worst at the last minute. Sony may still have a Trump Card or 9 up their sleeves. All we can really do is watch what goes on in the next few months. I will enjoy reading what people are going to say about the current situations with Sony and Microsoft. It will be funny, that I can see into the future. Unregistered - amed 11.29.2005 19:01 I would agree with comment # 10, Sony still lots of potentail to win the next gen. Lets not forget what happend to Sega when they released Dreamcast a yr before ps2. People though Sony had no chance winning over the 2nd gen but they did. Sega took alot of damage on their half causing them to stop productions. Funny how no one is talkin about Revolution approach to win the next gen Unregistered - cbarker 11.29.2005 21:02 I think both consoles will be successful, I have the 360 and I am very pleased with what they have put out so far, and this is the first wave of games on a new console so i cant wait to see what they can do with future games, same with the ps3 I cant wait to see what they can do with their new console, but like I said both will be successful, look at the launch of the 360, you cant find one in stores because everybody wants one, same thing will happen with ps3. And if we did learn one thing with the 360 going forward, make sure you keep up with when stores will start taking pre-orders so you dont have to wait 10 hours in line to be told sold out. Furious 11.29.2005 22:40 It's good to see the changes taking place on this forum. I honestly had given up hope and started posting on E-mpire's forum. Now since we can create new threads and the removal of pointless post is a great step in the right direction. I'm impressed with the new direction of the site Kudos... Peace BillGatesSucks 11.30.2005 03:31 Considering Sony's huge success with it's last 2 iterations of the playstation, I really can't see the PS3 losing out in the next generation either. Seeing as how it drove Sega out of the console market all together and beat late comer xbox nearly 5:1, it just doesn't seem likely. Unregistered - Rompå 11.30.2005 11:47 Are you sitting with an windows XP PC? If so, then I have to say: you suck!! But if not, you can mean that :) But, just because they have "won" the 2 earlier battles as you say, lol, that dosent meen they win forever :S And, as we all know in fact is that Xbox is BETTER than PS2, but the japanese people didn't realize that, and that's why you may say they won the 2.nd battle. lol, this is kinda funny, PS2 won the 2.nd war? lol, I mean NOOOoooo... But as I use to say: Competion is GOOD and HEALTHY :) Unregistered - Clic 12.02.2005 11:43 and yes I like the new site features and everything. Add Comment |
