Movies based on video games often fail miserably, however the upcoming horror movie “Silent Hill” does look promising. The movie will be directed by Christophe Gans who's best known for Brotherhood of the Wolf.
The movie will have a story of its own, but borrows many ideas from the games. It’s about a young mother called Rose, played by Radha Mitchell, who's daughter is dying from a mysterious illness. Rose believes that her daughter's condition is linked to the doomed resort of Silent Hill and so takes her there in the hope of finding a cure.
