It has just been announced in a press release by Capcom that Resident Evil 5 is in development for the PS3 and Xbox 360. 10 pictures of the game were shown in the latest issue of Famitsu, so we have uploaded scans of the pictures to our website so you all can check them out.
Resident Evil 5 is produced by series veteran Jun Takeuchi and will use the same controls as Resident Evil 4 with the camera set behind the player. The game will takes place in a desert and Takeuchi says the desert setting will be the background for a game that will strive to achieve a level of craziness and insanity that left such an impression on Resident Evil 4 players.
"Sure, the dark areas are pretty standard Resident Evil stuff -- you're going through them pretty slowly; the light areas will represent how Resident Evil 5 will be different from the others,"
Staff members who worked on the original Resident Evil game are now back for Resident Evil 5, which can only be a good thing.
